Terms of Service

The short version

• Raya helps you improve your CV, find jobs that fit you and apply to them. It cannot promise you an interview or a job.
• Raya only applies for a job when you ask it to, and every application goes out in your name.
• Everything you tell us must be true. You are responsible for what is on your CV.
• Your plan renews every month until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next payment and you keep access until the end of the month you paid for.
• If Raya is not for you, you can get your first payment back within 14 days, as long as Raya has sent fewer than 10 applications for you.

1. Who can use Raya

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. You may only have one account, and it is for you alone: you may not create an account for someone else or apply to jobs in another person's name.

Keep your login details safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account, and you should tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.

2. What Raya does

Raya reviews and improves your CV through conversation, finds jobs from employers and job sources, matches them to you and, when you ask, prepares and sends your applications. Raya uses artificial intelligence for much of this work. AI can make mistakes, so check your CV and anything else Raya prepares before you rely on it.

We work to keep job listings accurate and check them for signs of scams, but the listings come from third parties and we cannot guarantee that every job is real, still open, or described correctly. Never pay an employer to apply for a job, and tell us if a listing looks wrong.

Raya does not guarantee any outcome. Whether you are invited to an interview or offered a job is decided by employers, not by us.

We are always improving Raya, so features may change. Some features may not be available yet, or may only be included in certain plans.

3. Applying on your behalf

When you ask Raya to apply for a job, you authorise us to act for you to do that, including to:

• send your CV, cover letter and the details the application asks for to the employer;
• send application emails from your connected email account, in your name;
• complete application forms on employers' websites and hiring systems;
• create a candidate account with your email address where a hiring system requires one;
• use your connected email account to read the verification codes and employer replies described in our Privacy Policy.

Some applications cannot be completed automatically. When that happens Raya tells you and gives you what you need to finish the application yourself. An application is sent in your name, so make sure you are happy with it and that you would accept the job if it were offered.

4. Your responsibilities

• Give us information that is true, accurate and up to date. Do not invent qualifications, employers, results or experience.
• Review your CV before you approve it. You are responsible for its content and for any application sent with it.
• Only connect an email account that belongs to you.
• Use Raya only for your own genuine job search, and follow the law and the rules of the employers and sites you apply to.

You must not:

• use Raya to send spam, false or misleading applications, or anything unlawful, abusive or harmful;
• copy, scrape, resell or share Raya, its job data or its content, or access it with automated tools;
• try to break, overload or get around the security of Raya, or reverse engineer any part of it;
• upload anything that contains viruses or that you do not have the right to share.

5. Plans and payment

Plans, prices and what each plan includes, such as the number of applications per month, are shown on our pricing page and at checkout. The price you agree to at checkout is the price you pay. Unused applications do not carry over to the next month.

Payments are taken by third-party payment processors. Depending on how you pay, you may be charged in Egyptian pounds or in US dollars. Your bank may add its own fees, such as for foreign currency, and those are not set by us.

Your plan renews automatically every month and you are charged in advance for each month, on the same date as your first payment, until you cancel. If a payment fails, we may pause the paid parts of Raya until it is paid.

If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you at least 14 days before the change applies to you, and you can cancel before then.

6. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time by contacting us, or in Settings where that option is available. Cancelling stops your next payment. You keep full access until the end of the month you have already paid for, and then your plan ends. Your account, CV and tracked applications stay available unless you ask us to delete them.

7. Refunds

• Your first payment: if you ask within 14 days of your first payment and Raya has sent fewer than 10 applications for you, we will refund it in full.
• If Raya fails you: if a paid feature does not work as described and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, we will give you a refund or credit for the part of the service you did not receive.
• Renewals: monthly renewals are not refunded, and we do not refund part of a month after you cancel, unless the law requires it.

To ask for a refund, contact us. Refunds go back to the payment method you used; how long they take to arrive depends on your bank. Nothing in these terms removes any right you have under Egyptian consumer protection law.

8. Your content and our service

Your CV, answers and other content you give us stay yours. You give us permission to store, process, adapt and send them as needed to provide Raya to you, including sending them to employers when you ask us to apply. This permission ends when your content is deleted, except for applications already sent.

Raya itself, including its software, design, job data, text and branding, belongs to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it under these terms. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

9. Other websites and services

Raya links to and works with employers' websites, hiring systems, job sources and your email provider. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, their decisions or how they handle your information. Your use of them is covered by their own terms.

10. Suspending or ending your account

You can stop using Raya and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other people or Raya at risk, or that we must close by law. Where it is reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put things right. If we close your account without you having broken these terms, we will refund the unused part of the month you paid for.

11. Our responsibility to you

We provide Raya with reasonable care and skill. Apart from that, and as far as the law allows, Raya is provided “as is”: we do not promise that it will always be available, error free, or that it will get you an interview or a job.

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for lost income or opportunities, or for the actions of employers and other third parties. Our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law does not allow it to be limited, such as for fraud or for death or injury caused by negligence.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Raya changes or the law requires. We will change the date at the top when we do. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then; if you keep using Raya after that, the new terms apply.
