Please read these terms carefully before creating an account. By signing up or using Talk with Raya you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the platform.

1. About Talk with Raya

Talk with Raya is an AI-powered talent matching platform that connects candidates with companies in the GCC region. We use conversational AI to build candidate profiles and match them with roles based on genuine fit, not keyword matching.

These terms apply to candidates using the platform. A candidate is anyone who creates an account to find employment opportunities through Talk with Raya.

The platform is currently operated by Talk with Raya (registration pending). References to "we", "us", or "our" in these terms refer to Talk with Raya. Once the business is formally registered, these terms will be updated to reflect the registered entity name.

2. What Talk with Raya is and is not

Talk with Raya is a technology platform. We are not a licensed recruitment agency and we do not act as one. We do not represent you to employers, negotiate on your behalf, or provide employment advice. We are not a party to any employment agreement between you and an employer.

Our role is to facilitate connections between candidates and employers based on profile matching. Any hiring decision is made solely by the employer. We have no involvement in and no liability for any employment outcome, offer, rejection, or dispute between you and an employer.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Talk with Raya. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement. If we discover that an account was created by someone under 18, we will terminate the account and delete all associated data immediately.

You must provide accurate and truthful information throughout the onboarding process and keep your profile up to date. Providing false or misleading information may result in your account being suspended or permanently removed.

You must not use the platform if you are subject to any applicable international sanctions or trade restrictions, or if your use of the platform would violate any law in your country of residence or the country where you are seeking employment.

4. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Do not share your login credentials with anyone.

You can sign up using your LinkedIn account or email address. If you use LinkedIn, you authorise us to receive basic profile information from LinkedIn including your name, email address, and profile photo. We do not receive your full LinkedIn profile, work history, or connections through this process.

You can delete your account at any time. See section 9 for details.

5. The service we provide

Talk with Raya is free for candidates. There are no fees to create a profile, complete the onboarding process, receive matches, or respond to employer invitations.

We do not guarantee that you will receive matches or that any matches will result in employment. Matches depend on the availability of relevant active roles posted by verified employers on the platform and on how closely your profile aligns with those roles.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time. We will give reasonable notice where possible but are not liable for any loss resulting from planned or unplanned downtime, maintenance, or service changes.

6. The AI conversation with Raya

6.1 What Raya is

Raya is an AI agent, not a human recruiter. Your conversation with Raya is conducted using artificial intelligence technology. Raya is designed to ask relevant questions to build your professional profile but she does not make hiring decisions, does not represent any employer, and is not a substitute for human professional advice.

6.2 AI limitations

AI technology has inherent limitations. Raya may occasionally misunderstand responses, ask follow-up questions that seem repetitive, or interpret answers in ways that do not fully reflect your intent. The structured profile generated from your conversation is produced automatically by AI and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or misrepresentations of what you said.

We are not liable for errors, inaccuracies, or misrepresentations in your AI-generated profile. If you believe your profile contains a significant error, you have the option to redo the conversation at any time from your profile settings.

6.3 Third party AI and voice technology

The Raya conversation is powered by third party AI and voice technology providers. While we select and configure these providers, we do not control their underlying systems, models, or infrastructure. These providers operate independently and are subject to their own terms of service and privacy policies.

We are not liable for interruptions, errors, unexpected outputs, or data handling by third party providers beyond what is covered by our agreements with them. By using the platform you acknowledge that AI systems may produce outputs that are imperfect, incomplete, or occasionally unexpected.

6.4 Voice recording consent

By proceeding with the Raya conversation you explicitly consent to:

  • Your voice being recorded for the duration of the conversation
  • The audio recording being stored securely on our systems
  • The conversation being transcribed into text
  • Both the audio recording and transcript being used to build your candidate profile and improve the platform

You have the right to withdraw this consent by deleting your account, which will result in the deletion of all recordings and transcripts associated with your profile. See section 9 for details.

6.5 What is shared with employers

When you are matched with an employer, the following is shared with that employer:

  • Your structured profile (name, professional background, skills, experience, preferences, and details captured during the conversation)
  • Your match score and the reasoning behind it

Your voice recording and raw conversation transcript are not shared with employers. Your WhatsApp number and email address are not shared with employers unless you explicitly choose to share them during the hiring process.

7. Data we collect and how we use it

7.1 Data collected

To build your profile and match you with roles we collect and process:

  • Your name, email address, and profile photo
  • Your WhatsApp number
  • Your CV and its contents
  • A voice recording and written transcript of your conversation with Raya
  • Personal and professional details shared during the conversation including nationality, visa status, location, work experience, skills, languages, salary expectations, career preferences, and any other information you voluntarily provide

7.2 How we use it

  • Build and maintain your candidate profile
  • Match you with relevant roles at GCC companies
  • Send you notifications about matches, invitations, and application updates
  • Improve the platform, the AI conversation, and our matching accuracy
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

7.3 Who we share it with

We share your profile data with employers only when there is a confirmed match between your profile and one of their active roles. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not share your data with companies you have not been matched with.

We use third party service providers to operate the platform including providers for database storage, authentication, voice AI, messaging, AI processing, and hosting. These providers process your data only as necessary to deliver the service and are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.

7.4 Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If your account has had no activity for 24 consecutive months, we will notify you by email and WhatsApp. If you do not log in within 30 days of that notice, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted.

Voice recordings are retained for 12 months from the date of the conversation, after which the audio is automatically deleted. The text transcript is retained for the lifetime of your account.

If you request account deletion, all data will be deleted within 30 days. See section 9 for details.

8. Communications

By creating an account you agree to receive the following from Talk with Raya:

  • WhatsApp messages for account verification, OTP codes, and match notifications
  • Email notifications about your profile, matches, invitations, and application updates
  • Occasional platform updates and service announcements via WhatsApp, email, or SMS

You can opt out of non-essential marketing communications at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe option in any message. You cannot opt out of essential account, security, and service messages.

9. Your rights over your data

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Request corrections to inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Withdraw consent to voice recording by deleting your account

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at our email address. We will respond within 30 days.

When you request account deletion:

  • Your profile, CV, LinkedIn data, conversation transcript, and voice recording will be permanently deleted
  • Your WhatsApp number and email address will be removed from our systems
  • If a hiring process with an employer is actively underway at the time of your request, we may retain minimal records necessary to complete that process before deletion, after which all data will be removed

Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.

10. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, truthful, and up-to-date information at all times
  • Keep your account credentials secure
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account

You agree not to:

  • Provide false, misleading, or fabricated information in your profile or during the Raya conversation
  • Use the platform for any purpose other than seeking employment opportunities
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, scrape, or disrupt the platform or its technology
  • Use the platform in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or qualifications
  • Use the platform if you are subject to international sanctions

11. Intellectual property

All content, design, technology, and intellectual property on the Talk with Raya platform belongs to Talk with Raya. You may not copy, reproduce, or use any part of the platform without our written permission.

The profile built from your data belongs to you. We use it solely to operate the matching service as described in these terms. We do not claim ownership over your personal information or professional history.

12. Account suspension and termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account if:

  • You breach any part of these terms
  • You provide false or misleading information
  • Your account is found to have been created by someone under 18
  • We are required to do so by law or regulation
  • We reasonably believe your use of the platform is harmful to other users or the platform itself

We will notify you before taking action where possible and appropriate. You may appeal a suspension by contacting us.

13. Platform availability

We aim to keep the platform available at all times but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience resulting from downtime or service interruptions.

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any feature of the platform at any time. Where a change materially affects your use of the platform, we will give reasonable advance notice.

14. Limitation of liability

We provide the platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • We do not warrant that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or produce specific matching outcomes
  • We are not liable for any employment decision made by an employer, including offers, rejections, or terminations
  • We are not liable for inaccuracies in AI-generated profile content
  • We are not liable for the acts, omissions, or system failures of third party providers
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform, including loss of employment opportunity or income

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you via email or WhatsApp at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the platform after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept the updated terms you may delete your account before the effective date.

16. Dispute resolution

If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact us first. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve the matter informally within 30 days. If informal resolution is not possible, disputes arising from these terms or your use of the platform will be subject to the governing law and jurisdiction set out in section 17.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), which apply a common law framework and are internationally recognised for commercial matters.

Once Talk with Raya is formally registered, these terms will be updated to reflect the registered entity, jurisdiction, and any applicable regulatory requirements.
